“The perfect escape from everyday rush”
A wonderful guest house, superbly equipped, with a lovely wellness room to relax in. Quiet surroundings to come to rest. Perfect for escaping the rush of everyday life. Hugo is a great host.
“A lovely house with everything you need”
A lovely house with everything you need, and spotlessly clean. Wonderful quiet and relaxation. Great wellness. Fine contact with Hugo, who answers quickly and politely. We thoroughly enjoyed it. One drawback: the bedroom upstairs is cramped because of the low pitched roof, and the stairs up to it are very steep.
“The enormous lawn and the imposing weeping willow”
We stayed 7 days in the apartment. The first impression, with the enormous lawn and the imposing weeping willow, already made an impression on us. The apartment itself has air conditioning and 6 gas burners (the cooking studio), and because of that there is more crockery than you need. The apartment sits right at a junction of the cycling network and is an ideal base for trips through the beautiful heath and woodland. Thanks to the good connections with the surrounding towns, short outings are quickly made. The hammam has everything, with a sauna and a steam cabin. Because of the weather we were very glad of the hot tub, and we used it regularly. All in all the apartment is a real recommendation. Wonderful hosts, wonderful surroundings and many ways to plan your holiday make the offer complete. Many thanks to Hugo and Leila.
“Plenty to do for our little children”
We enjoyed the lovely wellness room, the house with air conditioning and the nice surroundings with plenty to do for our little children. The communication was timely and good.
“Hugo has plenty of tips and routes for the area”
We came to rest beautifully in the lovely wellness room and the lovely house. We also had wonderful cycling in the beautiful surroundings; Hugo has plenty of tips and routes for the area.
“A stylish garden, suitable for children too”
A fine, roomy place with a very fine wellness room. A stylish garden, suitable for children too. A large kitchenette with everything you need to cook.
“A huge garden, spa, table tennis and bicycles”
A perfect place with a huge garden, spa, table tennis, bicycles and other activities. Many thanks to Hugo and his wife.
“Communication and check-in went flawlessly”
Hugo is very clear and flexible! Both the communication and the check-in went flawlessly!
“Comfortable, full of character”
We really liked this place in Leende. It is comfortable, full of character, and the industrial-style range was a real highlight. Hugo welcomed my family warmly and made us feel at home from the start.
“The kitchen was well equipped for a mid-sized group”
Hugo and Leila were wonderful hosts: they communicated well and proactively, the check-in was seamless, and the house and the spa were exactly as described. The kitchen in particular was well equipped for cooking for a mid-sized group, and the air conditioning really helped keep it cool enough at night to sleep well. An extra bonus, in our view, were the two very friendly cats that came by outside and let you stroke them.
“Spotlessly clean and excellently equipped”
Very beautiful surroundings. We had our privacy. Everything was spotlessly clean and excellently equipped. Everything was wonderful. I can imagine coming back here.
“A very successful and convivial evening with good Moroccan wine”
Yesterday we took a very successful cooking workshop at Leila’s. After a warm welcome from Leila, in the beautiful cooking studio, with fresh mint tea and Moroccan biscuits, we set to work preparing a four-course dinner. Leila gave everyone her attention while the dishes were being made. To take the edge off our hunger, as she put it herself, we were given lovely home-made snacks. Excellent. As wine lovers, the surprise of the evening for us was how good the Moroccan white wine tasted. We are looking forward to the recipes, so that we can make these again at home. Leila, thank you once more for the very successful and convivial evening. We enjoyed it. A recommendation to everyone to enjoy Moroccan cooking at Leila’s in beautiful Leenderstrijp. “Sweet and salt flow together into delicious dishes”
Last Saturday we were able to discover Moroccan cooking culture at Leila’s. It is quite something to find that salt and sweet go well together and flow into delicious dishes. Everything fresh, many spices and tips you can use. With four others we enjoyed a delicious and convivial evening. A recommendation for anyone ready for something other than mashed potato with endive. How simple, and yet how good, the dessert was: oranges, reduced orange juice, strawberry, raspberry and home-made orange ice cream.
“A wonderful evening with our cooking club”
Our cooking club had a wonderful evening at Leila’s. Who would expect to find this in Leenderstrijp. In her recently opened, beautiful cooking studio Leila gave us a glimpse into Moroccan cooking. After a very warm welcome she taught us to cook a number of delicious dishes. We also got to know a few Moroccan wines that surprised us. From now on there are Moroccan dishes on our menu. “A really enjoyable and instructive evening”
We learned to cook Moroccan soup, harira, at Bij Leila. A really enjoyable and instructive evening in the secrets of Moroccan cooking. Wonderful spices and a base of good fresh vegetables. A welcome with an authentic Moroccan mint tea, in a warm atmosphere. With six friends we prepared several dishes with Leila’s constant helping hand. And then the finale, with a lovely glass of wine at the table to taste the Moroccan dishes. Greet en Dirk Langedijk
“What a wonderful kitchen”
We redeemed a dinner voucher for a ruby wedding couple, the ten of us. And where better than close to home. What a wonderful kitchen, and what a caring host Leila is. Even Mama Marokko regularly lent the men a hand while they cooked. On behalf of the ruby wedding couple as well, many thanks for the enjoyable and instructive evening in the lovely setting at Strijp bijleila. We loved it. The food was delicious and the wine full of flavour. We never knew this was possible in our own village. Bestuur W&Z Leenderstrijp
“A lovely outing to cooking studio Bijleila”
For our fortieth wedding anniversary we were given a surprise. After a few diversions we ended up at cooking studio Bijleila. Leila welcomed us with Moroccan tea and, not to be forgotten, Moroccan biscuits, and explained things the Moroccan way. Once we had looked at the recipes, pairs formed spontaneously, each wanting to turn the pretty pictures into something tasty. With all the questions fired at Leila more or less at once, I thought: this would drive you mad. Not Leila. She stayed calm and friendly. Everyone got the attention or the help they needed, as a matter of course. Once the first bottle of Moroccan wine had been opened the mood got better still, and that did our cooking no harm either. While the food simmered on the stove we were surprised with home-made Moroccan treats. The food was delicious and the evening was warm. What more could you want in such a beautiful space, all in Moroccan style, with nothing at all missing. And with the delightful Leila this became an unforgettable evening for us. “We thoroughly enjoyed Leila’s hospitality”
The cooking workshop began with a lovely glass of Moroccan mint tea, and that is something quite different from hot water with a few sprigs of fresh mint. The way the tea is poured is an experience in itself. Leila served it with home-made biscuits. Then we were put to work. We had to get going quickly, because many dishes were being prepared and there were only six of us. That is why it was so good that not only Leila but also her daughter and her niece were helping. While we cooked we could do justice to the meat pastries Leila had made in advance, and they tasted excellent. The soup some of us made, the one always eaten during Ramadan, was delicious, and the Moroccan bread with the home-made salad was particularly tasty. The middle course was pastilla with a chicken filling. The whole group folded the triangles from the filo pastry. Great fun. The main course was a lamb stew with prunes and couscous. Very good indeed, and the dessert was home-made ice cream with fresh fruit. A wonderful end to a wonderful meal. Mint tea or coffee with home-made biscuits completed it all. We look back on a thoroughly pleasant evening in which Leila’s great hospitality and her expertise made it a success. The fitting out of the place deserves a mention too. It is a beautiful kitchen, and in the seating area and in every detail the colour blue is beautifully present. The house can be rented as well. After the workshop we were sent the recipes for all the dishes, so now we can get going ourselves. And that should work out fine. Hellen en Frans
